1. Are letters of recommendation required for majors outside of COLA?
Nope! they are not required! Most people don’t end up getting a recommendation letter since it’s hard to develop relationships within the span of a year. That being said, if you are able to go to office hours and know the professor well enough, recommendation letters can be really effective!

2. When do we declare our majors this year?

UT Austin will be contacting the CAP students around November 15th to see what major you will be declaring, you will have until March 1st to let them know.
